The Minneriya National Park Morning Safari is a 4-hour private wildlife experience, offering an exciting opportunity to explore one of Sri Lanka’s most important elephant habitats. The safari is especially popular for sightings of wild Asian elephants, along with deer, buffalo, monkeys, and many bird species. The experience begins early, with hotel pickup around 5:15 AM, followed by entry into the park at approximately 6:00 AM. From 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, enjoy a comfortable 4WD jeep safari through grasslands, forests, and wetlands. During the dry season, especially from June to September, visitors may witness the spectacular Minneriya Elephant Gathering around the reservoir.
