The Gal Oya National Park Morning Safari is a 4-hour private wildlife experience, offering an exciting opportunity to explore one of Sri Lanka’s unique lake and forest ecosystems. The safari is especially popular for sightings of wild Asian elephants, along with deer, wild buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys, and numerous bird species. The experience begins early, with hotel pickup around 5:15 AM, followed by entry into the park at approximately 6:00 AM. From 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, enjoy a comfortable 4WD jeep safari through forests, grasslands, wetlands, and areas surrounding Senanayake Samudraya. During the cooler morning hours, visitors can enjoy excellent opportunities for wildlife watching, birdwatching, photography, and exploring Gal Oya’s beautiful natural landscapes.
