Experience the peaceful wilderness of Wilpattu National Park on an early-morning 4×4 jeep safari. Starting around 6:00 AM, the cooler morning hours provide excellent opportunities to explore the park’s forests, open landscapes, and natural villus (lakes) while wildlife is most active. Keep your camera ready for sightings of Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds. Although leopard sightings are more likely during the early morning and late afternoon, wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed.
