Experience a full-day wildlife adventure in Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife destinations. Spend the day exploring dry forests, open grasslands, lagoons, rocky landscapes, and waterholes by safari jeep while looking for Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild buffalo, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds.

Safari Duration: Approximately 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. A full-day safari allows more time to explore deeper areas of the park, with a midday break and packed breakfast/lunch.

Important: Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed. The park operates from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and safari vehicles must follow park regulations and responsible wildlife-viewing practices.

Overview

• There are 44 mammals in this park including elephants, sloth bears, leopards being the highlight and many other species. Although it is not known as a bird watching location, Yala is home to more than 215 bird varieties that include Sri Lankan wood pigeon, bee-eaters, Sri Lankan frog-mouth and many others.
